Makes learning fun Review by D. Diamond
I bought this for my five year old son to help him learn reading and spelling. He loves this game and asked me if we could gift a copy of it to his class room at school. It's his go-to game for family game night, and my husband and I were surprised to discover that it was fun for us to play with him. We have a similar game but it has a speed element to it that was just too difficult for him. He couldn't make words fast enough to win a round. Since each player in Spelligator has a turn that lasts as long as they are able to make words from the exposed tiles, he can take his time. We don't have to deliberately play badly just so he has a chance to win, and that is nice. I am also pleased at how fast his spelling has improved. He legitimately wins a lot of the time now!
