High Frequency Word Cards

Become familiar with common decodable words using this 52 card set. Each card uses sound buttons and phoneme frames to help children decode and encode these highly frequent words.

Cards are double-sided, with the High Frequency Word on the front and sound buttons to support decoding. The sound buttons are colour-coded with short vowels in red and consonants in blue. There are also lines or dashes to represent digraphs and these are also colour-coded according to their consonant or vowel pattern. On the reverse side are colour-coded phoneme frames with a write-and-wipe surface so children can practise spelling each decodable word. 

The outside borders are colour-coded in accordance with the phases of our progression. Cards also integrate with the lessons in the Teacher Planners at the different year levels.
