Phoneme Frame Cards

Word building made easy, with sound buttons and phoneme frames to support decoding and encoding. Contains 161 cards for teaching decoding and spelling words. 

Each card is double-sided, with a decodable word and accompanying illustration and sound buttons beneath the word. The sound buttons are colour-coded with short vowels in red and consonants in blue. There are also lines or dashes to represent digraphs and these are also colour-coded according to their consonant or vowel pattern. On the reverse side of the card are phoneme frames, where phonemes are grouped into boxes and colour-coded accordingly. This side has a write and wipe surface, so children can practise spelling the word or identifying a phoneme (sound) within the word. 

The outside borders are colour-coded in accordance with the phases of our phonics progression. Cards also integrate with the lessons in the Teacher Planners at the different year levels.
